we met Pierre Poilievre at Parliament Hill
On February 11, as winter began to soften and the days grew a little warmer, a delegation from the Alliance of Chinese Conservatives (AOCC)visited Pierre Poilievre’s office on Parliament Hill.
There were no formalities. We sat together and talked directly about the issues weighing most heavily on everyone's minds lately:
• More safety and stability for our communities: The recent wave of extortion and racketeering has left merchants and residents exhausted and afraid. We told Mr. Poilievre that everyone needs stronger laws to restore peace and tranquility to our streets.
• Protecting the next generation: Beyond the deeply troubling drug crisis, we also discussed parents’ concerns about SOGI policies in schools. We clearly called for protecting parental rights, and for education to return to common sense—respecting family values and giving children a clean, healthy environment in which to grow.
• Easing the pressure on household budgets: Prices have risen in a way that truly hurts. Families need stronger economic policies that protect their purchasing power.
Mr. Poilievre listened closely and also shared with us his hopeful vision for Canada’s future. The voice of the Chinese community should never be solitary. Thank you for your trust—we will continue to be here to speak up for you and walk alongside you. Let’s work together to protect the home we all share.
