AOCC Statement: Condemning the Violent Attack on Charlie Kirk and Expressing Deepest Condolences.

September 10, 2025 —Alliance of Chinese Conservatives expresses profound sorrow and strongly condemns the heinous act of violence that led to the tragic death of Charlie Kirk, the American conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, who was fatally shot today during a speech at Utah Valley University.

Charlie Kirk was an outstanding advocate for conservatism, inspiring countless young people to uphold the core values of faith, tradition, and liberty in defense of American and Western societal principles. His passing is not only a significant loss to the conservative movement but also a severe blow to free speech and democratic values.

At the recently held seminar in Vancouver, Conservatism and Classical Liberalism: Addressing the Crises and Challenges of Western Society, AOCC reaffirmed the core tenets of conservatism, including faith and order, tradition and customs, property rights, limited government, and opposition to abstract and utopian politics. These principles closely align with the values Charlie Kirk championed throughout his life. Through Turning Point USA, he mobilized youth to engage in public affairs, defend freedom and tradition, and provide critical insights for addressing the moral and cultural crises facing Western society.

We vehemently condemn this malicious attack on Mr. Kirk. Political violence has no place in any democratic society. AOCC calls on all community members, regardless of political affiliation, to unite in opposing all forms of violence and to resolve differences through rational dialogue and peaceful means. As emphasized in our seminar, gradual change and pragmatic governance are the right paths to addressing societal challenges.

AOCC extends its deepest condolences to Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika, their two young children, and all family and friends affected by this tragedy. Together with the global conservative community, we mourn Mr. Kirk’s loss, honor his remarkable contributions, and pledge to carry forward the values he defended to build a more stable and free society.
