AOCC Hosts Federal Election Summary Meeting in Greater Vancouver

On the afternoon of June 5, 2025, the Alliance of Chinese Conservative (AOCC) successfully hosted a federal election summary meeting in Richmond. The event brought together numerous federal election volunteers and community leaders from the Greater Vancouver area to share their firsthand experiences from the 2025 Canadian federal election and offer insights and recommendations for future community participation and political advocacy.

During the meeting, attendees engaged in in-depth discussions with the Conservative Party’s community liaison, who participated online, focusing on the party’s performance and campaign strategies during the election. Volunteers, drawing from their observations and experiences during the campaign, provided many constructive suggestions, expressing a strong desire for the Conservative Party to learn from this election to secure victory in the next one.

These recommendations will be compiled into a detailed report and submitted to the Conservative Party headquarters, serving as a reference for Party Leader Pierre Poilievre and the party leadership to promote the development of more inclusive and representative policies.

AOCC Chairman James stated: “The political influence of the Chinese community in the Greater Vancouver area is growing stronger. Through events like this meeting, we aim to harness the collective wisdom of the community to provide the Conservative Party with practical suggestions. We are not overseas descendants of our ancestral homeland; we are a part of the Canadian nation. More Chinese Canadians should engage in Canada’s political process. Although the election concluded with a Liberal minority government victory, the Conservative Party still performed notably well in areas with significant Chinese populations, such as Richmond and Markham-Unionville, highlighting the potential of Chinese voters as a ‘key minority.’ AOCC will continue to serve as a bridge, deepening our connection with the community to help the Conservative Party gain greater support in future elections.”
